The Ordinario Family
August 2008
Project Summary
This was a 3 day project for a special woman and her family. This mom came to Canada in hope for a better future for her girls. She suffered from a debilitating disease that left her body disfigured; one leg shorter than the other, a crooked spine that left a hump on her back and crippled feet. But she had the biggest smile and went to work no matter how hard movement was for her.
Walls of Hope helped in creating new room for her girls with separate bed/work areas. We also gave mom a bedroom retreat to rest her weary body. We provide new furniture to create a family area with a couch large enough for them to curl up on together. We also provided a nutritionist to help teach the children how to make healthy food and grocery gift cards.
“Mom Ordinario” has thanked us so many times. She always pushed her physical limitations trying to do things but her body challenged her spirit and functionality. She has said: “God answered her prayers when Walls of Hope came into her life”
