Project Summary

Thia was a three day weekend project that helped change the lives of 4 people living in this Oakville house. Two teenage children, one elderly grandmother and mother all live in this home.

The scope of the project changed constantly, as we found there were more repairs than anticipated, so we came back.

The entire basement/rec room was renovated, along with 3 bedrooms in the house. The bathroom upstairs was also given a face lift and the entire kitchen was gutted and replaced brand new from floor to ceiling. The renovations that took place in the kitchen affected everyone positively, but mostly, it was a great experience for the grandmother as she walks with a cane and is now able to make herself something to eat on the main level instead of walking downstairs all the time.

This deserving Walls of Hope family spent 2 nights at the Fairfield Marriott (complimentary of the Marriot) and were treated to such things as: makeovers, spa treatments, new clothes for mother and children. Spending time together as family was a rare treat for the mother because her work schedule is always a challenge

Testimonial: The Borgeges Family Thank You Poem:

Within these walls and under this roof

Love is the glue
God is the proof.

There are angels among us
With much love in their heart
Giving of themselves
Helping strangers make a new start.
