This total transformation was such a blessing to be apart of.To be part of a team that was going to touch and help this deserving family was so rewarding. I can't wait to help another family, and meet more great people. My favorite room would have to be the kitchen/backyard...Loved them both. The peaceful retreat they now have is amazing!! The whole house is amazing!!!Thanks to Walls Of Hope. You can see the Hope in this house ..Hope for a better life.

My favourite transformation was the backyard! It is so great that the family can have an oasis where they can escape from the stresses of life. What was once a place to store piles of junk is now a peaceful space. Everyone deserves a place for reflection and healing and this family now has that! Cheers to all of the WOH volunteers.

Volunteering for Walls of Hope has been an amazing experience that cannot be put into words. It is about a group of like-minded individuals who truly want to make a difference in the lives of those who have been less fortunate. It is not about egos, it is about stepping up to the plate and wanting to help because you truly care. The feeling of camaraderie is infectious. Not only does WOH change the lives of the recipient families, it transforms those that volunteer as well.

Volunteering with Wals of Hope is so much more than the hours of your time. It has gone on to forming incredible friendships with people I would never of met in my normal day to day living. It is bringing a community spirit together of people who would ever have met but now by helping a stranger are forever changed on how they know each other. It is meeting people who put there lives aside and give selflessly to make the community better. The funny thing is I feel it makes the volunteer feel better instead. I encourage any one to come and experience the magic that occurs at a Walls of Hope project besides changing a families life forever!!!!!

The last project was by far the biggest I (we) have ever done, but there was also greater satisfaction at the end. Perhaps the tougher the climb the more amazing it is when you reach the top.

The Walls of Hope team gets bigger and bigger with every project and it's always amazing to hear everyone's individual tale of where they came from and what brought them to volunteering for WoH.

With every project my skills increase to the point where I can not only take on larger tasks at future projects, but I can also do more work on my own home.

This was the first time that I had volunteered for the Walls of Hope. The sense of family among the WOH team and volunteers was so evident. It felt like I have always belonged. They welcomed me with open arms. I made new friendships, learned new skills and most of all had the privilege of giving back to my community. What a great feeling!

I could not pick only one. All rooms were amazing. The talent from the Walls of Hope team and the volunteers that transformed this home for a well deserving family was incredible. Hats off to you all!

I must say that my favourite part about the walls of hope, are the ladies, I mean the kids!!! I mean the ladies, no sorry its definielty the kids!!! Ok both of them are very important to me, LOL

Where else can you meet such hott women and help kids at the same time, I dare you to try something that has the family, team and friendship aspect that this charity has. I have met the best people in the world at the projects and I am proud to call them my friends.

If you have never ewxperienced it, you will be blown away by the amount of work that gets completed over a 6 day period and that everyone is still laughing and hugging each other when its over... Never in all my years as a contractor could I have imagined this was possible. You have to experience it to believe it, but please be careful as its highly addictive and may consume a good part of your life.

Our last project helping the Defrietas family was our biggest project yet, but wait until next year, Charlie with the help of his Angels will be organizing the biggest, baddest project to ever happen....Stay tuned and be ready to give it everything you have....

Get involved, it will change your life...it sure has changed mine.

The entire experience is Amazing!

From the organization and co-ordination that happens behind the scenes long before the project takes place, to the effort/skill/participation of the WOH team, volunteers and sponsors, to the sense of unity and desire of everyone involved to do the best that can be done for each recipient family.

While giving something to a family in need, this experience gives back to those that volunteer their time and efforts in ways that one cannot imagine.

Besides “giving back” and doing a “good deed”, being part of a Walls of Hope project brings a life altering experience in the sense of: genuine satisfaction, appreciation for what we have, chance to expand our skills and interest (working inside and outside our normal boundaries) and a chance to meet awesome people and form really great friendships.

Once on a project site you want to: do more, help more, see the smile on the recipients faces and tell all your friends.

You really have fun, work hard, and want to do your best in any way you can help. Everyone is so great and gives 110% in any way that they can.
This experience is addictive – try it once and you are hooked!
