Dream Rooms Project for The Lighthouse Acknowledged in the Media & Community
Dream Rooms Rocks Again
With Their 3rd Project.
Dream Rooms’ Director Carla Leyer and her amazing creative partner Wendi Speck,
designed, executed and lead a group of dedicated volunteers to another successful project at The Lighthouse in Oakville.
As recently stated in the Oakville Beaver (May 23, 2012):
“Over the course of the weekend May 4 to 6 2012, many Walls of Hope volunteers set to work and transformed The Lighthouse’s Talking Circle room from ordinary to…magical. Making use of the Lighthouse theme, the murals show a shoreline, a Lighthouse, a starry ceiling, an evening moon and a beach cabana (where the children can perform therapeutic puppet shows). It creates a fresh, cheerful, and warm ambiance for the Lighthouse community.
“The Lighthouse program is grateful for the dedication of Walls of Hope, be-gifting their precious resources to a fellow charity, and adding their warmth, love and skills to those of the many Lighthouse community volunteers,” says Britta Martini-Miles, Executive Director of the Lighthouse program.
